You shouldn't compare airsoft to a real war. They're very different things. And I wouldn't wish a real war on anyone. It only looks cool on screen.

I'm sure it was meant as lighthearted banter, as is the case with much of what is posted on the forum.
There are quite a few serving, & ex forces members here, myself included, none of whom would genuinely believe that our "sport" or "game" can be compared to actual armed conflict, & the horrors associated with it.
Wouldn't wish that on anyone, especially in this day & age.

I actually think this is awesome, you have a clear idea of what you want, expectations and what you've written should weed out anyone who can't commit.
Elements of our sport are so niche that there is only a handful of people across the country that want something like this.....and it's very hard for them to find it.
Id rather they find you through this than give up a sport because it doesn't match what they find fun.....it's a niche fun, but wouldn't it be boring if there was only 1 type of Airsoft?
Don't let the naysayers put you off and good luck with the search

Milsim is something I have wanted to try, but I don't have anyone to go with, would be cool to try.
Shame these guys have ruled out 96% of this UK forum, as you have to speak Russian.
