Hi folks,
I've had my Benelli M3 in storage for about a decade and when I took it out the box I noticed the furniture - the pump grip and pistol grip - had developed that horrible "rubber cancer" where the rubber starts to break down with age and just constantly oozes black sticky liquid.
It's my understanding this is not repairable or reversible and essentially means those parts are kaput.
I've removed them from the RIF and put them in a plastic bag to contain the gooey mess. Assuming nothing can be done with them, I'm intending to dispose of them, but I've been looking at replacement parts online and there doesn't seem to be a lot out there.
Original TM or clone parts don't seem to be readily available, and most stock and grip kits seem to be for TM Remington 870 and clone 870s rather than the poor old Benelli.
Ideally I wouldn't want to get the same OEM parts again because it's likely the problem will just happen again further down the line, but on the other hand, there doesn't seem to be anything in the way of quality aftermarket parts to swap out with either.
Am I up the creek without a paddle here?
