Time to kit myself out a little better..

Okay, so I thought I had finished spending after upgrading my sniper.. until I came home from work and my step-dad had spent £170 on gear & clothes, he got some new camo, boots, vest and magazines. Call it jealousy or whatever - I now want to get similar items to complete my load out..

Sorry for the long read and large amount of links.

The main thing I'm after for this thread is suggestions (with links !) on anything I post below, either from personal experience or what is known to be good and popular.

I'll start with what I want for my M4. Hoping to make it look something along the lines of this;



This is my to-buy list at the moment;

- - had a couple suggestions here, but still looking for more, the one linked there seems to be pretty decent though.

- http://www.airsoftworld.net/m4-m16-120rd-mid-cap-metal-magazine.htmlMagazines - will get 4 or 5 of these, along with a http://www.airsoftworld.net/m4-mag-style-470rd-bb-speed-loader.htmlspeedloader, simply because they're cheap and do the job. Easy to replace if they mess up or anything too.

- Torch - I'm still looking for one. Would like a bright one that has decent range on it, but one operated with a pressure switch that I can strap onto my handguard. Would like recommendations on what to get, based on what you use and have seen.

- Silencer - would like recommendations on ones that look nice on M4s please.

 

 

And moving onto gear..

- I recently posted a http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/?showtopic=7062topic about what vest/rig to get. I'm just wondering what vests you lot wear, how comfortable and practical it is, and what gun/magazines do you have. If you use MOLLE, a picture of what pouch arrangements would be amazingly helpful! I'm still looking for suggestions on a black one, suitable for 6 M4 magazines and three or so smallish spare pockets/pouches for oddments. Would be very nice for one I can still lie down in, but still reach magazines easily.

- I'm also after a decent pair of black boots, durable, comfortable and waterproof would be nice - as I had quite squelchy feet today.

- Possibly a ghillie suit, but I think I have this one sussed. Had a dress-up day at school for charity, and one of my mates wore a jute do-it-yourself ghillie suit - bought as kit like http://www.ghilliesuitclothing.com/products/Large-Jute-Ghillie-Kit.htmlthis.

 

 

I've decided to bite the bullet (or BB in this case) and spend money, getting it all in one big lump.

The items in my to-buy list above equate to ~£190 including delivery and changing the gearbox wiring (£20).

I'm looking to spend as little as possible, but that's going to be quite a lot.. so a b maximum budget of £300 for everything. So £110 for vest, boots and torch.

If suggestions cost more, then post anyway, I may end up spending more if it's worth it :L

get a real issue belt and yoke, a tad hard to assemble but light, versatile, quite cheap and good quality.(its all real issue so no viper there)

Well cadets aren't exactly rough on their stuff are they.

 

 

In terms if gun kit, looks like your sorted- though I'd get a box of ten are mags from x1. And a 6.03 madbull inner barrel, for Silencers, the madbull gemtech halo is awesome

 

Kit: I've given up wearing vests on normal skirmishs, I wear a belt with dump pouch for 2speedloaders and a drop leg pouch for two stanags. I can move much faster and more efficiently than with a vest.

As for boots look at magnums and lowa

As for the gun it sounds like you know your stuff, and there isn't really anything else we could tell you apart from the systema motors are great and with their hop bucking. Also I like the Prometheus barrel over the madbull one, but thats if you looking for the top top end upgrades.

As for rigs, right now I have a Warrior Centurion Combo MK 1, which I personally don't get on with and looking at getting rid of it along with my M4. I personally like bit rigs, like the Warrior Elite Ops DCS Plate Carrier only in OD, but I can't find one.

Anyone know where I can get the G&P 7mm Gearbox for roughly the same price as LWA (£60)? I want one by the 13th Nov and have no idea when LWA will get it back in stock. I emailed them and they said they don't have it in stock but have the £115 8mm one - which I can see for myself. Really wasn't very helpful at all.

Marksman, do you mean these magazines? If so, are they metal and why do Zero One have a picture of a box of 30 round magazines...?

I like the look of the silencer , although at £50, it may have to wait until I've got everything else sussed and bought.

I would do that, but I find things fastened around my legs & belt cause problems, they tend to slide down my leg, make my belt uncomfortable. Also, I find it harder to run with stuff strapped to my thighs.

Will have a look around for boots.

Tristan, thanks, the gearbox and motor are to replace the stock more than to upgrade as it's currently f*cked to put it simply.

The vests don't look particularly comfortable, I think I'll have to try a few on or something to see what's best for me.

What boots do people wear and how much have you spent on them?

And the same for vests (including any pouches)?#

Thanks Deano, that's the second time that vest (http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/bltav2nx.html) has been suggested. Seems to have what I want/need and isn't very pricey.

I'll look in a few local stores at boots and vests too .
