Thoughts on site cancellations

A local site cancelled today’s game day at 17:30 last night. I wasn’t due to play it regardless and understand everyone can have an emergency at some point but this site seems to cancel very regularly.

Would like to know people’s thoughts on this?

Even though I wasn’t due to play, I find it a bad look and it discourages me from booking.

Annoying, especially if you have made arrangements that can’t easily be changed at short notice. If this happens regularly as you said, it will definitely put people off using the site.

Would we be right to assume it was due to low numbers booking ?

Considering the high winds last night was safety the reason? I wasn't sure if my local site would run games today due to the winds but it calmed down before start times. I've seen sites cancel a game due to low numbers before.

Out door woodlands are very susceptible to wind and have to be last minute cancellations. The other issue is a lot of sites are part time one man operations and life gets in the ways sometimes if the owner has to cancel and if they can give reasonable notice that's acceptable (early evening night before is reasonable in my mind). On the other hand how many of use give notice we are attending and flak at the last minute?
