What's the ARES G36 like? You used one in a game yet?

I haven't played with it yet...But I've put about a thousand rounds through it on a range, had a fiddle inside, downgraded the spring etc.

Aesthetically, beautiful. It looks mean and the materials used in its creation are of clear quality.

It also feels nice, even if you're not pulling the trigger, it's got weight and a good texture, as well as balance. If you're firing it, there's a definite lurch in the gun when the bolt moves; it's not quite 9mm, but you feel it and it makes the experience worth having.

Sounds mean too, there's a hefty blowback and the gearbox sounds healthy.

Range is 30-40m out the box with just a 350fps downgrade, hop makes a huge difference; without hop the fps is erratic, with a little hop it'll sit within about 6fps range.

Overall, Finius is a happy camper.

Wife is right, spending way to much time / money on this hobby and I love it

Oh I've been down wiv da spork for years, mate. Not sure but probably since the dawn of sporkdom. I just can't find my old one and I've convinced my g/f to go camping (which is something of a minor miracle). I bought a folding pick/shovel too, which alarmed her immensely, but whilst a thrown spork could do as a back-up weapon in a skirmish, an entrenching tool is sure to get me banned, so I left it out :lol:

Quavers eh? Back in the day I was down with the quaver, but these days I'm under Dr.'s orders to lay off the salt - I go with treacle toffee dabs - £5.10 on eBay, can't be beat!
