A peq & M300 light arrived courtesy of nik4355 & a fancy sopmod battery for my URG-I, the peq will be moved once a hydra mount arrives from Amazon but that'll be in August apparently.

PVS-31 Digital NVG. Not as good as my Gen 3 PVS-14 but better than my Sionyx. Still needs a IR source for complete darkness but in low light they are very clear. Another nice touch is you can switch from green to Phos, B&W and a strange brownish colour. This is the Pro version so you can run off the external battery pack or run it on a single 14500 battery

Nowhere near as expensive as the NVGs there, but I've finally put myself a CQB kit together for if I ever go to events where I can't do my scout sniper / recon role and have to do CQB instead. Already got the guns as I have a KWA mp9, or a CQB MWS with two uppers; one as a more modern mk18, one as a more retro car-15 style. Also already have the plate carrier with weighted training plates to simulate actual armour plates, plus placards for AR/AK, .308 and SMG mags. That left head and face protection that needed doing, as getting shot in the face up close sucks and I don't want expensive dental bills! Also, I am a tall fellow at 6'5" and don't want to scalp myself on any door frames, which someone did actually do at my local site a month or so ago; he's fine now but seeing what he did would make anyone at least a little squeamish.

Bought a "ballistic" helmet from Aliexpress for £35, fully expecting that it wouldn't be the IIIA ballistic rating that was advertised because it was a £35 helmet from Aliexpress, and found some Americans who did in fact prove that they are not IIIA ballistic rated. However, what I wanted was a helmet that was big enough for my 62cm head, and also had a nice weight to it to simulate that armour in the same way the weighted plates in my carrier have no ballistic protection but sure make it feel like I'm wearing the real thing! To finish up, I also bought: a helmet cover, pair of earmor m32s and mounts, an Aliexpress anti-fog unit (bought the Nov one too, but thought that £15 was worth trying an Aliexpress one so will use that one first until it dies), a face mask balaclava combo, and then a pair of over-glasses goggles from Novritsch, since I know a lot of opticians are getting difficult when it comes to having inserts glazed, as well as some arc rail anti-fog hose clips to keep it all nice and tidy.

Overall, I am pleased. It feels great, fits great and the whole setup came in at under £150 for absolutely everything; I didn't want to spend too much because at the end of the day, I won't be using this setup all that much as I way prefer my scout sniper / recon style of play, but it's nice to have options

The price listed is £649 but when I went to buy them they knocked off £100 at checkout. Not sure if this is for everyone but I wasn't going to complain.

Because everyone on HRC raves about them, I have bought:

Waldo Dynamics MWS Hop adjuster arm and a pack of the Ion MWS return springs.

Omega nub was a reasonable stop gap, but it doesn't work briliiantly, and the stock DE return springs are just poo.

I might add some to my list of things to buy. Already got IR weapon lights and lasers, so it'd be nice to actually have a set of NVGs. Would be really interested to see if they're any good.

More spending abound:

2x Stanley Fat Max waterproof deep organisers - currently have a massive pile of spares dotted around in jiffy bags, spare ikea lunchboxes and even a fishing tacklebox, Toolstation had a deal on 2 for £32 of the normally significantly more expensive waterproof ones, so nabbed that.

Guarder Recoil Buffer - because WE M4 is getting pretty severe bolt bounce and is causing misfeeding galore, shifting weights should fix that (hopefully)

Silverback GBB Bucking 4 pack - wasn't sure what hardness to choose for the Scar now it's semi locked and intending to run it at 1.8J, so bought the 1 of each option.

Nothing to really see but I got a gas tube from johnnyj today and it's stopped the wobbly wobble of all wobbles as there was nothing to secure the handguard properly.

Sometimes it's the little things that make me happy.

Decent faux gas tubes longer than carbine length aren't super commonly available relatively speaking, so that's a good find to add to a proper M16. That said, in theory it really shouldn't be the gas tube that keeps the handguards tight. Airsoft guns are weird sometimes, but the presence (or otherwise) of the tube shouldn't change the fitment of the handguards at all one way or the other. Was your barrel nut loose and rotating around on the front of the upper receiver per chance? In the lower image, the delta ring spring does look like something is a bit awry perhaps, though it's always hard to tell from a still image of course.

I mean if it's fixed now and that's you satisfied then hey that's the end goal, all good. The circumstances there just intrigued me.

The front sight was stable but the gas tube was missing & the screw holding the handguard retainer to the front sight was sheared off so the wobble came from there mainly, simply having the gas tube  in situ secured the retainer & stopped the wobble by 95%.

The M16A3 now has 98% ish of the parts it should, including a new gearbox, it'll never be used in a game but I like my toys to be working if possible, prob have 3-4 more that need some tlc but the M16A3 annoyed me because it arrived as a box of bits (but not all the bits).

And yes, I can easily carry all of them (but it is heavy, so I may drop it to 5 or 7 mags instead). The SKS chicom pouches are perfect for them and there are 10 pouches on the SKS chicom. 10 + 1 in the gun, and the far left pouch is larger and actually fits two mags so I can even carry that spare one there when in the safe zone and the mags have to be out of the gun.

Also, as an aside, Tiger111hk is amazing. I only placed this order on Friday and it already turned up. No customs issues, and no goddamn UPS Stanford Le Hope which surprised me

A couple of guys had GBB G3’s with 8/10 20 round mags, the gun was a similar weight but the mags/gas etc was a huge weight penalty then one of the guys swapped and I got it.  As an airsoft gun GBB will always struggle but for realism they are stunning!!

A couple of guys had GBB G3’s with 8/10 20 round mags, the gun was a similar weight but the mags/gas etc was a huge weight penalty then one of the guys swapped and I got it.  As an airsoft gun GBB will always struggle but for realism they are stunning!! 
 

Now looking for a GBB AK or MP5…………. 

Honestly with the right LBE - and cheap surplus PLCE suits - you can run a GBB G3 pretty easily.

You get used to the lower mag capacity and with a little tweaking learn to place your shots better, basically.

Haha, I pretty much only use gas guns now ever since my friend sourced me a cheap, but basically new TM AKM (it was when mags were rare and he wanted the spare mag as it came with 2, so he got me a fantastic deal where I basically got a new one for half price) and I shot it on the range for the first time, so I'm quite used to the added weight. I have an MTW 308 and an SRS that occasionally get used as backup guns when the weather is bad and I can't be bothered with gas, but that's incredibly rare. For my MWSs I "only" carry a standard fighting load of 7 mags (1 in the gun, 4 in the rig, 2 in the belt) and for the m700 I carry 6 extended mags (1 in the gun, 3 in the rig, 2 in the belt), but those are 35rds/20rds (depending on if I'm using the stubbies or regular mags) and 25rds mags respectively so it's still more than if I carry all 11 of my Kar98k mags as those are only 10rds.

I'm also a psychopath who has weighted training plates in my plate carrier and a helmet that weighs as much as a proper ballistic helmet. For me, immersion is more important than being the very best that no one ever was, hence GBBRs and gas bolt actions.

Also, GBBRs are just... fun. And very satisfying.
