Played there once. Will never go back.

Hit taking was horrendous, staff were rude and favoured the locals, BFG rules are crazy (waits for all the arguments)

Sorry got to disagree with most of that.

Hit taking can be crap but that the players not the venue and can happen anywhere.

Never seen the staff be rude ever they like a laugh and joke occasionally but only ever give crap to the regulars.

They definitely dont favour the regulars if anything they come down on you harder for any infractions because you know the rules.

Bfg rules I agree with I have been hit by one that some twat threw down a corridor, a few inches higher and I would of caught it in the side of the head. Its too dark and too up close for lobbing round chunks of metal just use cardboard pyro, they are more fun anyway.

I think many who have been there more than once will disagree with your opinion. I trust the Mall marshals more than I do the ones at any other site I've been to... and agree that they tend to be more harsh on the regulars vs new comers.

That's a fair point, it is all down to opinion as I've really enjoyed sites some people have really slated. Likewise we both played at a certain CQB site(not yours) where we seemed to have polar opposite views of the day. It was the worst day of Airsoft I've played by far, although the chaps running it seemed like good guys so maybe it's tightened up as it had only just opened. Although I still wouldn't go back there.

I no longer manage a site. I left ironsight over a year ago now. I also no longer play as part of a team as the House of Wolves fell apart.

It's kinda great as I can say what the hell I like and not have to worry about being sensored.

Never got the hate for Bunker51. Had some good games there in the past. I may go again in the new year as its been so long.

After today, I won't being going back without a tracer, i'd imagine makes it so much better, when you can say "I did hit him", instead of "I'm sure I hit him/he fliched".

In other news, didn't bother with any kind of armour, just duty belt. All the worst hits I took were either while dead, or shortly following a hit.

Yeah, I feel lost without mine if the batteries run out mid game. Was torn over the pros/cons at first, but no doubt about it now.

Tracer is a double edged sword.

Its good because you can definitely see when you hit someone but 10× more annoying when they dont call it and run off. Also unless you are a quick player who moves a lot you are basically gving someone else a target.

As for protection good on you I am a firm believer in less is more in airsoft. Loose clothing, thick tops/jackets and plate carriers should all be banned in cqb. Anyone wearing hard shell crap should banned for life.

Its not so bad outdoors because the action is usually a bit less frantic so you notice things more but in cqb with the adrenaline and noise its definitely not a good thing.
