So a mates looking at getting a new weapon as his SRC G36c died a month ago, basically he wants a new armalite, up to £300 with decent accuracy/range. Any suggestions or advice on what to get or in general specific makes, companies, just to give him an idea really of what to get :)

G&G Top tech M4's are awesome. Great range, great accuracy out of the box.

Your mate is an armalite fan, isn't he Joe?

In that case, ICS M4s seem to be good, especially if you have a budget of £300 - they're about 200ish, leaviing him £100 to play with.

Around the £200 to £250 mark at a guess? The Top Tech range are literally flawless in terms of performance and reliability. They also have blowback which is nice. One bad thing is the hideous trade marks (if it's a model that has any, my MP5 thankfully doesn't), so if that's something that bothers him, steer clear.

Although they're very specific when it comes to add-ons, I'd say to go ICS - I love ICS so much <3

My old site used ICS M4s as hire guns, plastic version with the full stock - They've been going for YEARS with only basic maintenance, must have all had significantly more than 500,000 rounds through them (around 3000 every weekend for as long as the site's been open... which is easily over 5 years) and the only issue with any of them is that the anti-reversal latch is worn out and very few of them can fire semi-auto. Internal parts are of high quality, they look great, replacement parts are easy to get hold of and there are a number of configurations to choose from.

My ICS L85 is also amazing, even before upgrades.

Other than ICS, there's G&P which everyone raves about, though I'd take all that with a pinch of salt.

I'd say they were the best 3 options. Though I think the ICS is the most expensive - around £280 for a bog standard A1, around £310 if you want RIS, for the metal versions anyway. Plastic ones are considerably cheaper with the same performance.

If he wants to pimp it out to the max - G&P

If he's not too fussed about external modifcations - ICS

Gen 2 or 3 SRCs are good and VFC make some nice KAC models to but they'd probably be over 300.

ics are brilliant very decent internals and good externals, with last him a life time
