Sending an Airsoft Gun via Royal Mail

What are the implications of sending a Airsoft pistol to a individual via a private sale (through the classifieds on this forum). Are there any laws to not allow this or is it all perfectly legit? Does it have to be sent as registered mail or via Parcefarce?

No theres no restrictions on sending airsoft guns using Royalmail or parcelforce.

Ive never had any problems sending stuff throughout the uk.
