S&T tar 21

Hi all

Just read the article in Airsoft Action about the S&T TAR 21, all sounds good on the write up, it's a change from the M4's G36's and AK's.

Anyone own, had or k ow anyone who's got one,what are they like pros-cons etc as I've seen one for £149 new

I've heard that S&T tavours have plastic gearboxes... although i may be wrong

The externals are absolute garbage, same with the gearbox. Just isn't worth the money.

There are versions with Metal internals,but they are not much of an improvement, Shimming,AOE correction and regreasing are needed to get them firing well.

Added to that the externals are wank. The plastic feels super toy like and cheap,worse than ICS sportline MP5s*

The Spring detentioning bolt release is a nice feature though.

*I love the ICS sportline MP5s though,don't get me wrong.They feel toy like but strong as hell.

Its a sad state to be in when the TM 'boys' tavor is in with a chance of being the best option lol.

Marui did say that if the Boy's Tavor is a success,they will produce a Proline version,hopefully recoil shock.
