Retail therapy.... I'm finally gonna play at THE MALL

don't worry bout upsetting folk shining a torch at them, unless they are on your own team! lol

Lozart I'm going next Sunday mate. Make sure you come over and introduce yo'self bro.

I will try to get to a shop to buy a filter for my torch. I have a very bright torch as well as a not so bright one on my peq

Damn I didn't know some people felt that way about bright torches/strobes. Where I play it's pretty standard to do so but if it's not liked at the mall I won't do it. It's good to know these things before hand so as not to unnecessarily upset folk
23rd? I'll be there!

As far as the Mall goes, strobes are allowed unless anyone comes forward on the day as having photosensitive epilepsy, lasers are allowed but ONLY up to chest height and not to be switched on permanently (ie they can be used to indicate a position but not just "on"). Nobody has yet complained about being blinded by torches (to my knowledge). Most people only use them to see enemies at a distance anyway (there's some long dark corridors) and even the brightest of torches don't reach THAT far. I have an Element Scout torch on the rifle (about 150 lumens) and a 230 lumen one on my M9, I'm sure you'll be fine. Ths torch in fact http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/7377-the-what-have-you-just-bought-thread/?p=135317

I agree that doing it up close IS a dick move but in all honesty trying to navigate the Mall in the dark without a torch is actually potentially dangerous in some areas!

Lozart mate I think I'm gonna eat carrots every days easing up to game day lol

Dont fall over...its embarresing, dont walk into someone when you come tight round a corner.

Oh and if its very dark, make sure u keep ur mag changes smooth haha.

All blueberry mistakex but easy ones to make in the dark

As far as I'm concerned if you do indoor CQB then using torches is part of the gameplay. You have to know when to use it to best advantage so that when you give away your position you get maximum benefit. Temporarily blinding your enemy can give you that advantage. I don't mean you should actually blind them, just destroy their night vision. Strobes however are a PITA, if someone uses a strobe it is fair game to try and shoot their torch out :D

I was more talking about my own team mates rather than the enemy, nothing more annoying than letting your eyes adjust to then have some nugget switch on a torch behind you, blinding you and backlighting you to be shot. As for the enmy, thats fair game!

So, he came, he saw, I shot him. Good day at The Mall yesterday, the M249 made an appearance which was nice (not so much for Black Death but there you go) so when are we going to see a few more of you chaps round our way?

Yeah enjoyed myself yesterday. Gotta say I think my night vision has improved vastly and I got a wee bit better for using my ears. All these years I thought those flappy things on my head were there to prop up oakleys lol.

Yeah was a pity me and Lozart were on a posing sides but all the same it was a pleasure to be shot by such a calibre of a man

Only took one pic all day and even then wasn't holding any weapons but my lot did have a good time

I feel it only fair to point out that pictures don't really do justice to the sheer scale of this man. Even if it does make him easier to hit ;)

Glad you enjoyed yourself bud, always good to get some new blood at the Malls...

Gotta say that terminator game was probably the most fun game type I've ever played and I'm surprised more sites don't adopt the same if not a similar game (predator or whatever). Seeing the terminator with his red eyes walking slowly towards you is both exciting and terrifying at the same time! It's a pity he didn't have a mini gun but all the same his m249 did the trick all the same.

I was tempted to lift the terminator off the ground shouting "skynet sucks dick" but the thought of the m249 being that close to my stomach put me off lol

Yeah, the Terminator games are always fun! They're more fun if you have more chance of getting shot though, last year for the Reading festival, the Terminator was a "security guard" checking for tickets. The tickets were a limited number of armbands handed out at the beginning and if you didn't have one, you got laced up with that quite frankly ludicrously upgraded SAW!
