Replacement Battery for Double Eagle M83

Hi there. I've had a duble eagle m83 for about 5 years now. i haven't used it for a while because i left the battery discharged and now it's dead. I've tried finding a new battery like this one from BBGuns4Less

But the battery is out of stock there and on any other english sites i can find. My question is if there are replacement batteries such as the Lipo that would fit. i dont mind about the electrical connectors being different as i can change them easily enough. Or is there a way you can make the battery pack yourself? Thanks, Ross

 
A small 7.4V lipo will be fine. Between 500-1000mAh or low C rating (10-15) to be safe.

 
Hey samurai, I've looked at LiPo batteries like that but most of them have two electrical connectors rather than the single one i have and the connectors seem to have a positive and negative on each of them?

 
They usually have a Deans and small Tamiya for compatibility/charging (particularly with chargers/balancers). Both have positive and negative wires. You will want to use the Deans if possible, but your AEG is almost certainly Tamiya. Not much money to buy one (eBay).

Lots of videos and guides out there on this though if you want to swot up. You will need to take care of a LiPo more than An NiMH and you will need a balancer.

The Tamiya (big one) is used for balancing. The Deans (small red one) for the gun/discharge.

Use Deans - they're very reliable and small connections with minimal arcing, and it makes a minor difference.

That's my last answer on the batteries. Nothing personal, but I try not to get involved in topics like this where all the answers you want are easily accessible on lots of videos or other forum posts already made :) I'd implore you to just look up a video on airsoft LiPos as it'll have all the answers you want and probably more.

One last stupid question, i found this website about RC helicopters using LiPo batteries. so to get myself set up for using a LiPo battery i have to buy either a charger that balances it as it charges, or buy a normal charger and use one of the blinky balancer things that applies a load to a cell that is over or under charging? Just trying to get my head around the terminology, Deans connector attaches to the gun so it will work, and either the deans connector is used for charging with a blinky balancer or use the balancing plug to charge and balance at the same time. i wish i could just get a NiMh battery :wacko: I just want the damn thing to work after 3 years!
