Pull Tabs on Chest Rigs

Can't believe I am asking but are bungee pull tabs on chest rigs kust to hold the mags in place?

Feel a bit stupid asking but I wasn't sure

You mean the ones over the top of mag pouches?

Yes, and with MOLLE do you just weave it through alternating under and over

The pull tabs are to release the gas which makes the mags all nice and frothy for when you need them. Make sure the mags are ice cold first, or it tastes like wee.

but yes they are to keep the mags in as the pouches are a bit lower then normal ones and the mags may just pop out under exertion by the wearer.

Molle is alternate over/under, the the next strap is under/over and make sure you pull them to the one molle strap past where you think it should be tight.
