Pistol Pouch Setup/Config

For those who use MP7s, Vectors, MP5s, etc. how do you set up your mags in your plate carrier/vest/belt?

I wanted to move to MP7 loadout and not sure how to reconfigure my Yakeda plate carrier - or what pouches to buy? Thanks

I usually run a chest rig, but you could try one of the placard-style rigs that take different inserts for different mags. Do you have a pic of the plate carrier?

I'm guessing you use a rifle with your current plate carrier. If you're happy with that why not just swap out the rifle mag pouches with smg ones?

I bought an Aliexpress repro D3CRM and some inserts so I can carry either 3x 5.56, 2x .308 or 4x SMG mags, so that's generally how I carry SMG mags. My plate carrier has placards that I swap between 3x 5.56, 3x .308 or 6x SMG mags, so that's what I use in CQB. I have two rifle mag pouches on my belt kit as well, but no SMG mag pouches so whatever's on the torso rig is all I get. I could replace the rifle mag pouches with some SMG mag pouches on my belt if I wanted to, but I don't use SMGs enough to warrant it.

The only setup that doesn't let me carry any SMG mags at all are my LBE setups, but why would I want to use an SMG with an LBE setup? That's designed for long range reconnaissance style loadouts with a long rifle and often some sort of viper hood, not an SMG 

However, I very rarely use SMGs. I predominantly use sniper rifles and DMRs, or long-barreled 1.1J builds, and even in CQB I tend to go with an SBR like my mk18 MWS instead.

I run a belt for an SMG cause I'm a fat fuck and plate carriers look like a tactical moob holder on me.

I have 2 single temu elastic retention pouches and a triple Viper Velcro pouch on one side and a holster and double pistol pouch on the other with a dump pouch in the middle.

It's pretty well balanced and the SMG pouches hold 45 round Apache mags nicely.

The elastic retention pouches can be a pain to get mags slotted in a hurry but they're snug once in and won't fall out even on the rare occasion I run between cover.

Just a belt for 9mm SMG mags keeps me light which for me is what SMG is all about.
 

I have the Viper open top elastic retention type for AEG/pistol mags and the Viper Velcro closed top for gas Apache mags. I have used the Apache mags in the elastic pouches but they were a bit too heavy and felt loose.
