Hello AFUK members :),

I have a quick question regarding the muzzle device (muzzle brake/flash hider) on my Noveske N4 Gen 3 GBBR.

I’m considering removing it in order to install a tracer unit with a muzzle flash + smoking effect. However, I want to avoid damaging the barrel threads in the process. I believe there may be a small grub screw securing the device, but I currently don’t have a tool small enough to remove it.

Has anyone here had experience removing this particular muzzle device? If so, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendations.

Alternatively, if anyone can suggest a high-quality tracer unit with a muzzle flash effect that can be installed directly without modification, I’d be very interested in your recommendations.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards,
Matty (y)

My advice would be get an allen key the right size. No other way of really getting it out without fucking something up.

100%.

If you try unscrewing it without removing the grub screw you'll destroy the threads.

These are cheap, handy and very good quality. Worth having a set anyway, but you'll need 1.5 or 1.27 for that grub screw.

Yes, as an owner of the DE version of the Novekse N4 GBBR, the above replies are correct.

You can get suitable allen keys or suitable screwdriver heads for little money.

Regarding a tracer or muzzle flash effect device, I'm not saying there isn't one for that specific flash hider, I'm just not aware of one as it is quite niche. You are better off removing the grub screw to take the flash hider off and getting a regular 14mm CCW barrel thread tracer.
