New Redline Regulator

So it looks like Redline has come up with their new reg.

It was initially aimed at the SMP market, but it now seems that after some modifications on test builds they will also work on Daytona Kits aswell.
The refresh is truly crazy on this system.

I got the go ahead to talk about the NEW REGULATOR FROM REDLINE AIRSOFT.
1. This regulator will be replacing the Firebase currently in production.
2. The refresh rate is far superior to the current firebase being produced. What does that mean? It means that your full auto consumption of air will benefit, gun will perform better, more reliability and more consistent shot placements.
3. The regulator comes apart much easier than the Firebase for maintenance. You simply unscrew the cap, remove the adjustment to reveal the baffle stack and piston.
4. It NEEDS TO BE NOTED that this specific regulator is line none other in the fact that when your bottle is at 200 psi, the gun will stil shoot as normal. On the Firebase, we all know that at about 1000 psi on the tank our systems fail half the time. NOT HERE. You can shoot the tank down to 0, as I have done for 8 tanks now! Literally, we get much more out of our bottles with the new reg.

I have a Orga Magnus 6.23 in my DMR!

You'll be completely fine then. Refresh rate matters only with high rates of fire, and if you've got a solenoid then they require far less air so you'll be golden. It would appear that whilst this reg is an upgrade over the Firebase, it's mostly aimed at some of the mechanical pneumatic users (Daytona, Escort, PDiKs) or very high rate of fire solenoid engines.

If you want some quick an easy upgrades for your DMR then switch to a wider bore grip/stock line and a wide bore line (maybe even EU QDs for better airflow). In some ways the line acts as the expansion chamber for HPA so having as much volume there as possible is a plus. I've got a 500mm 6.23 ORGA in my M249 and that thing chews through air like there's no tomorrow, but I've not noticed a massive fluctuation in pressure (maybe as much as 10psi at times). The real plus of this new reg is that it can operate at crazy-low tank pressures so that you can get the most out of your tank without needing to refill. That's the only reason I'm considering getting one, despite having a gun that's probably the least air efficient per BB that you can have.

Im equally gutted, not even used my firebase on a gameday and already planning to get this new one.

Because of having both P* and DG, i want the flexability and top notch perfromce from the refresh.

I would hazard a guess the new reg will replace the firebase, really depends on the paintballing demand.
Even if they do drop them, the market will be flooded with the current regs for some time id guess.

Well im gna go get this reg and replace my Guerrilla G2 for the Ninja Pro and then see how im getting on

The Redline Airsoft SFR regulator (Super Fast Refresh)

HPA in Airsoft has Evolved.

Engines are more efficient and run at lower pressures than in the past. Therefore the demands on the regulator have changed too.

With the lower operating pressures and higher efficiencies of modern HPA engines, the regulator must be much more sensitive in order to properly react to the smaller "pressure pulse" of each shot. This is especially true when running a remote hose since the air volume in the hose acts as an "air capacitor" further dulling the pressure pulse that the regulator sees. Failure of the regulator to react properly to this dulled (dampened) pressure pulse can be interpreted by the user as "shoot down" or a "slow refresh rate."

The SFR is Redline Airsoft's newest regulator. It combines high sensitivity and a super fast refresh rate with a high flow design. It performs equally well whether powering an air sipping PolarStar "Jack" at 40 PSI or powering an air hungry Daytona gun at 120 psi. It also works with both standard high output and SLP/ELP type low output tanks.

The SFR is a fully balanced regulator. Why is that important?

Unbalanced regulators are subject to what is known as "supply pressure effect." That means the regulators output pressure is affected by changes to its input pressure.

Unbalanced regulators can have a very large pressure change as their supply tank empties. Importantly on some types of regulators, that pressure change can cause the regulators output pressure to rise as the supply tanks pressure drops. That can result in an undesirable situation since any rise in output pressure will cause a corresponding rise in velocity.

The SFR's output pressure is unaffected by changes to its input pressure. That means even as your tank empties, the SFR's output pressure and therefore your velocity, will remain unchanged.

The SFR also includes a new, more intuitive, integrated tournament lock and an overpressure relief valve. The Redline SRF is 100% made and assembled in the USA

Our VAT is very different to the American state sales taxes - they don't have sales taxes levied at a federal level. The 7% reflects that as well as shipping costs (The SFR is made in the US so logistics are comparatively quite cheap I'd imagine).

At least we have cheaper BFGs I guess.
