I have a G and G M16 which had a 8.4 V Lipo battery, however I broke it. When I was looking to buy a new one a saw the range of batteries and after a bit of research I found out all I needed to know, except is it possible to break a AEG rifle by using a to big/powerful battery? Btw my gun is a very good quality and expensive gun, so it could maybe take a bit more than most guns.

My AEG battery problem.

There is no such thing as an 8.4V Lipo battery. Lipos come in 3.7V stages, so if you have a normal Lipo it would be a 7.4V (two cells). The next up is an 11.1V Lipo. Despite being a good gun a G&G might not take too kindly to being run on an 11.1V Lipo, as it would up your rate of fire to probably more than the gearbox could handle.
If you definitely have an 8.4V battery then it's either Nihm or Nicad, not Lipo.
If you want a bit more power then, depending on whether you keep the battery in the stock or the foregrip, you might be able to use a 9.6V NihM without causing any undue problems to the gearbox, either crane stock or sub-C cell size of about 2200mAh capacity, unless you have a solid stock version, in which case you could probably get a 3700mAh in there easily, which will last all day at most games.

8.4v will be 2s(7.4v) it's 4.2v/cell fully charged.
In RC land people just say 2s, 3s, 6s or whatever cell count rather than the voltage which seems less confusing to me
As far as i'm aware the amp draw is dependent on what the motor wants to take rather than what the battery will put out so going by that then no there's no top limit.
For my g36 at the moment i use some 43amp packs(1800mah 2s 25c) but i "could" quite happily hook up some 200amp packs i have(5000mah 2s 40c) in an external bag or whatever and my gun would only run better on the big battery imo.
So in short get the biggest battery you can fit in your gun and it'll be all good
