Mounting a Red Dot on a WE P226

Is it possible to mount a Red Dot on a WE P226?

Yes. But I don't know of any adaptor, so you'd need to make your own. You can remove the rear sight by loosening two screws in the slide and replace it with an adaptor with a little 20mm rail on top, but you'd probably have to design the adaptor and get it made on shapeways or something

Rather than adding a rail you can add a baseplate that a docter or rmr sight will bolt straight on to. The added weight at the back will negatively affect the performance of the gun though.
