Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

If this thread has saved just one newbie or someone not as familiar with the market paying more than they should for used airsoft kit, our work is done. :ROFLMAO:

£1500 Hi capa?
I bet he's charging for the original Hi Capa as well where the only original part is a spring or a screw.

I would call it Trigger's Hi Capa but even he isn't simple-minded enough to buy it.

"Just seeing if there would be any interest in the collection hoping to sell together"

Right but you haven't itemised anything in the collection so expect a load of lowballers.

is that their default pic for no photos
or did he upload them himself
either way... why aren't they the same fucking picture?!

I love this thread as a noob. Regularly see listings and think I want to drop it in here for the hive minds comments

Looks like he's put the pics up, well most of them.

Still taking the piss with this though.

The seller wants £100 for a two-tone that he insists has never had a BB down the barrel. Two problems with pushing that claim like it's a absolute positive.
  • He surely understands there's a reasonable chance it was test fired in the factory to confirm it works and/or at some point in the supply chain to confirm it wires within legal limits?
  • If he's never fired it, how can he be certain it works?
Alternatively, you can buy the RIF for £100 with warranty and some peace of mind from a retailer:

I agree. A lot of these super-expensive Hi-Capas seem to put the premium into things like the grips and slides, with 70% of the material missing because they're "skeletonised" basically paying more money for less material. 😂.

Oh, that's for rate of fire, at least for the slides. Along with short stroking the shit out of it and heavy nozzle return springs. It's just for dumping 100rps at rentals I guess. Skeletonised stuff ends up expensive because it adds so much more machine time.

Funnily enough, in terms of performance they rarely end up that much better than a stock TM.

Not a single pic of the guns, just an AI generated logo

Tempted to put in a lowball and see what happens

EDIT: I've contacted him lets see if there's some entertainment to be had
I recieved a reply - I quote:
"Honestly 250 was just what I paid for it i really wasn't sure how much to list it for, Honestly 110 is fine for it"

Have we ever had an instance of someone on Mack's being a victim to Mack's prices themselves? Because now I feel bad lol

There was a time when there was a months long shortage of the Gold Match so he may well have paid a premium.

There was person here trying to sell a gun he'd bought at a boot sale. He didn't know how what the case was or the extent of the mods was. All he said was that he'd spent £600 and that he wanted advice on what it would go for. Since we didn't know the internals, it was hard to say other than that he wouldn't get close to that. Most damning was that selling it as it was turned out to be a non-starter as he confirmed it was too hot to use anywhere

No idea if that's a good price but ignoring a perfectly good classifieds section to instead post your ad on a profile update, seems a bit dumb to me. Oh and he failed rule 5 too Screenshot_20260916-075311.webp
