Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

I'm sure they're fine, I just look at the Longsword Package and question the value of it.

That said, I've worked in hi-fi sales in the past. Selling gold plated, inline filtered, quintuple shielded cables to wealthy idiots taught me that honestly they will spend that money either way. Might as well chib them for it.

Idk I do my own tech work, it's part of why I don't bother with AEGs these days. I'm a tight fisted Scottish bitch like that.
I do my own tech work except on pistols, which I just don’t like working on.

I get where you are coming from with regard to hi-fi kit.  There is so much bullshit used to sell overpriced tat that is claimed to give a massive upgrade; it is very much like airsoft really.

I  assume under that foam inside the case is a stash of whatever illegal substance he was on?

Might be rare and discontinued, its still not worth £2000. Especially as there was another one sold on here a while ago for £750 less than that.

The guns themselves were about £700 new in 2017, the mags were about £80 a pop, even calculating rate of inflation, you still come out to around £1300 new.

I think this is the only time you'll catch me saying this but £2000 has always been the standard for these in my eyes. Grozas are such a niche gun that it's purely a buyers market for them. I've heard people offering friends of mine upwards of £1600 for a much smaller package on these guns. Plus you're talking about a nearly an 8 year old mint condition kit which is crazy when I think about it.

Lol, "inflation" has nothing to do with the price of a discontinued collectors item.

These packages vary depending on condition and "original" accessories more so than any other average gun. Finding a Groza packages with the suppressor, four 9x39 magazines and the rail is extremely difficult. Similar packages fetch similar money in other countries.

Gone are the days where you could pick one of these up in the box for less than £1k, even with no accessories.

Honestly, you're a tad biased given its your business model. Maybe worth staying out of this one, hmm?

The point where I listen to a retailer on what is a fair price, is the day I stop playing airsoft.

Is it a bullshit price? Yeah.

Is someone probably going to buy it? Also yes.

It's a niche collector's item that there's not really a modern replacement for.

There is literally a conversion kit that someone in the US has done last year, with the files costing $35 to buy. One modern replacement.

Yeah it's a 3DP kit, people want something that's machined typically.

I mean they're going bananas for that Saiga Groza kit rn. I tell ya, someone will buy it.

The whole reason why the business model works....is being good at understanding the value of items on the used market.

It's not as though I'm picking these up for £500 and trying to flip them for an extra £1000. Similar packages fetch similar amounts in places all over Europe and the USA. The buyers decide the market for these.

He's done step files, so it can be machined.
Okay, you ask someone to custom machine, or cheaper still, stamp these items out of steel. I'm sure it will be far cheaper than even paying for the ever increasing Groza prices.

Yeah just CNC a handguard that's a great idea. 90% material wastage lmfao.

There's a reason machine shops will laugh you out the door if you bring CAD files intended for 3DP to a CNC house. Additive and subtractive manufacturing are completely different, and on top of that most machine shops will just not bother with a single run batch of possible firearms parts. Not worth the money or hassle.

What a deal ? it's cheaper for a brand new one on defcon lol plus the great 2 tone sanding.
Impressive, new gun is £300, drum mag is £50, the poly mags are £9 each if you buy 5, rail is £9. I bought one of these used recently for £150 which I thought was a good price for a very good out of the box AEG.

And it’s 4 years old and looks like crap, if you try and fail to take the two tone off at least respray it black over the top……
