Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

Saw the price and assumed this would be "fully-upgraded"...turns out it's stock.

I then tried to count how many optics and tracer units it came with, but kept running out of fingers and toes....

I'd assume that they've found from experience that optimistic buyers will pay as much for a "totally fucked but might be a simple fix" wall hanger as for a used but notionally working gun.  I actually appreciate the honesty in their descriptions - nobody can say they're not being fairly warned.
Ideal if people want to HPA it or fully redo the internals too, to be fair. Saves them a little bit of money than buying brand new

yep I know it's a "profit thing" lol, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their tech services.

What it says to me is that they arent confident enough in their tech departments work to stand by it like it were a new gun, which discourages any notion of buying even a new gun from them if you might need to avail of the warranty.

As someone who has only ever played 2 games with an ootb pew i can say that i'd rather spend a month with an eye cast lazily over the classifieds for a good secondhand example at secondhand prices.

Although i suppose to be fair, i'm not one who's put off by a little bit of natural weathering on a gun

PB's boneyard section always makes me chuckle.

Bespoke Airsoft are also guilty of strange pricing logic. They have two A&K Masada. One that is electrically dead, stock release broke, selector missing and second one that works but the selector is 'broke' and 'needs a service' but they're both priced exactly the same at £148.20.

The only retailer i've seen good boneyard/used prices from is ActionHobbies.

Patrolbase and other retailers are absolute mad regarding boneyard prices.

My point is that they've being doing this long enough to have figured out that it's buyers who have the problem with reality, not them.  It's not like it's even "or nearest offer", it's take-it-or-leave-it, and some folk are taking it.

Here's how I read that:

"Used £265 gun in unknown condition.  [Charlie Brown wah-wah-wah noises]. £700, won't split, buyer must collect".

£90 + £10 postage from him, but he was nice enough to post the link to patrolbase where it's £95 + £7 postage with a warranty, it's brand new and works.

For the sake of maybe £30(?) in accessories, I personally would rather buy one that's brand new. ?

I like the use of the rubber gloves, as if that weapon was just used in a murder. Makes a change at least from the usual: 'take a photo of it on your bed with your hobbit feet showing at the bottom.'

custom paint job

By which he means he's sprayed more snot-green on the grips, then sweaty-palmed half of it off.

I like how he doesn't know what make or model the shotgun is (AGM MP003?) but he knows how much it's worth (it's not).

I'm intrigued at how one person ends up owning so many two-tone guns.  At least he's honest about the Well rifle.

Laziness or a trip down to bbgunz4u4less with the sales commentary of "bro just one more gun bro, I've got to show you bro, how cool ,bro would you look, bro? With all da guns bro, just hold this one bro."

Now they have taken them to a game and discovered they are shit he wants to trade up.....and that's how they ended up on Mack's.....
