Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

What consequences would you like to see if they don't?

Do I get the jail for adjusting Workmate Eddy's hop unit?

No we are talking about to be certified if there was a register of techs.

At the moment anyone can claim to be a tech, it is kind of like someone who can change a plug claiming to be a sparky.

It's a decent idea and I'm not opposed in principle.

In practice though, how many folk are there in the UK who would describe themselves as professional airsoft techs?  A few dozen?  And how many of those have an engineering qualification or time served?

Then, how many customers would value a bit of paper over a low price, or a good recommendation?  I mean, how many people even check (or know to check) that their chosen sparky is NICEIC registered, or equivalent?

I guess there's only one way to find out.  What's @Seth_Erebor up to at the moment? ;)

Seeing as it is a non working gun (seller basically said he doesn’t know what’s wrong with it?) so slightly more than TLC needed , more than likely someone’s going to need to sink a lot of money in it I’d say even £200 is a bit high .

The problem sounds like bevel/pinion, based on how the motor spins when the trigger is pulled. I haven't had the time to open it up and diagnose what's specifically wrong with it. That being said, I feel I justified the price in the post, the fact the gun is £380 new and has a new £50 motor in there means that there's a solid £230 (Not counting the mags) of leeway before the repair costs more than the gun and motor new.

If you think it's a bad deal, just message me and chat prices!

And in response to it looking wonky, best answer I can give there is camera distortion. It's as straight as it was from the factory.

I picked up a VFC SCAR H with a jammed gearbox for £150 with hard case and 6 high caps. Selling a gun with anything wrong with it immediately drops the price doesn't matter what it is

If someone wants to offer less than the asking price then they're more than welcome to ?‍♂️

A course would be a bit like a driving test, add a mystery shopper element to it and now we're talking.

£300 quid for a used TM Aug High Cycle of unknown age or condition with 6 high caps.

You can get the Aug brand new for 270 from Airsoft World.

fair enough but you still have to get it posted and the extra TM mags are about £20 each, i am not trying to con anyone but if you don't like the price , don't buy it. i am open to offers, and for your information the rifle is about 3 years old.

And we have another one who (whilst polite) doesn't understand the concept of something not being worth new prices when used..........

Funnily enough the mags don't keep their new value either!

Tenner for each TM mag, The JG mags aren't worth more then 15 for the three... So at those prices, why would I buy a 3 year old Aug high cycle for an almost new price?

look guys, i get it, i was wrong to ask that price , just trying to make a sale, i didn't ask for your opinions,  whilst i admit i may have been wrong to that price, and i apologise but wouldn't it have made more sense to contact me like an adult and say "look dude your asking too much" instead of dragging my for sale thread  to a sub forum to bitch about it, i have now retracted the rifle, and can see the  the maturity of the people here, so i will bid you a good day and shan't be gracing your petty forum again.

Thank you, have a good day.

To be fair this probably shouldn't of ended up in here. Yeah the price is a bit high and should of started about 50 quid lower at £200 but this thread should really be for the chancers. The type that buy a £500 gun take £350s worth of parts out put £400 worth of parts in then ask £900 for it.

If a price is smidge too high a PM to let them know is a better starting point. If they reply shitty the hang them out to dry but a lot will hold their hands up and adjust the price.

dude, its not bitching, its a valid point on a dedicated thread, on probably the only forum that allows open & frank discussions, the rest are run by snowflakes who're afraid to out scammers or overpriced kit.

you can choose to not visit here, that's your choice, especially if all you want to do is flog kit, overpriced or not.

it gets a bit boring when members join just to sell, especially when they cry about threads like this, take the time to read the rules & discussions & you'll see there's no pettiness involved, just community spirited airsofters looking out for each other.

at least he didn't say it was "brand new never skirmished" getting fed up of reading those £500+ adverts recently.
