Yep had a hunt around for info on it, couple of unusual modes for use with nvg etc, still seems a mad amount lol, wonder who'd splash out on it as surely such specialised kit (maybe in other brands ?) is available as an "issue" for the specific personnel that would utilize this stuff ?

 
Only units that have been issued it are special forces, massively increases the rarity.  If I had the spare cash knocking about I'd consider picking it up as a head mounted IR/White light solution, NVG shit is always expensive sadly.

Over the yrs I’m sure we’ve ALL met those geardo’s With way too much expendable income ?

The one I remember was in his very early twenty’s work for GE earned a hideous amount of money and still lived at home with his parents ! Head to toe in all pukka kit , Once saw him drop £1500 on fleabay for an NVG mount in the lunch break at a game ! ?

But he still got laced like the rest of us have by the over enthusiastic rental in a DPM boiler suit that was 5 times too big for him with a shity on site AK held together with 100mph tape !?????

Not just geardo's collectors will also want to nab that. I know a few people that love having the gear/kit but only go to games in things like tracksuits and jeans.

 
Curious what constitutes too much disposable income? Should we be donating anything above the recommended disposable income to llama sanctuaries and gluten free sandal shops instead? ??

Im stoked for anyone whos done well enough in their career or engineered their situation in a way that allows them to have healthy disposable incomes. Mine is on the healthy end of modest by my standards (likely too much by some others standards), and ive worked damn hard to achieve it. I did my years of being skint working retail or entry level jobs. ?

Im just genuinely curious. It pops up a lot in airsoft circles. I dont imagine you mean anything beyond a figure of speech, but the vehemence some seem to use the term with has me perplexed.

And absolutely. Only eat it if it had a face. In fact, cook the face (Beef cheek! Oh yes!).

My take is some , not many but some do like to get the price of there kit in to the conversation as quickly as possible and that can get other players backs up . As I’ve always said “if it’s your money , you spend it on what ever you want “ BUT please don’t tell me how much it cost or that seal team 6&3/4’s use it so it’s worth the price . If I can get a similar product from HK for less than 10% of the price I will ? also please don’t try to legitimise it either by saying “oh it’s RS so I know it’ll last” your not ‘kicking in doors and taking names’ for real ! I think my china knock off will work just fine airsofting ! ?

unfortunate thing is that normally it’s these one’s you encounter , the guy that just wants the kit because he can is usually sat with his mate quietly enjoying his day and not ponsing around shouting “look at my real plasma rifle in the 40watt range !” So all who can get tar’ed with the same brush ? 

 
For clarity, disposable income is what's left after everything in life you need is paid for, essentially the cash that you can spend in whatever way you choose, & in doing so it will absolutely have no effect on other financial commitments.

Bit longwinded I know?

Cant say fairer than that. Id like to think i sit in the quiet and unassuming camp. Just never truly understood some of the hate thrown about. In either direction. You pay what you can afford (generally), and then you get on with it.

I’m sort of one of these people, instead of telling people how many thousands I have spent, I tell them how much I got my stuff for, which, is always a lot less than what they paid for there’s, even if some of the gear is the same.

I like to wind up the ones with ego.?
