Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

cus i dont need to post if i buy new guns and just started to sell on here recently soooooo

Most people that get posted here see their prices are too high and adjust accordingly. You know, like decent people?

We'd all love to get back what we paid but that simply doesn't happen, I could buy a brand new replica today, post it Monday still sealed and not get back the full value. It's just not realistic.

The issue is that you went about this the entirely wrong way by stomping your feet, telling people to fuck off that tell you your prices are bad, then come back and ask for help, get help, then tell the same people helping you to fuck off again. You got advice and ignored it completely, multiple times. Why would people want to help you when you're throwing a tantrum because people called you out for your bullshit?

It's nothing about "being toxic", this thread is a place to warn others that sales are overpriced and that they can get better prices and to have a bit of banter. This forum is a treasure trove of help and guidance if you approach it in the appropriate manner. However, when you have very little interaction here, then post an overpriced listing and then have the audacity to verbally abuse people because they called you out on it it shows that all you're interested in is profiting from the users here and not contributing to the forum.

its not my fault if ya want to be a jackass bout the price id set selling guns is a new thing for me

And it's not our fault you didn't do any research prior to find prices and work out a fair price. 🤷‍♂️
Honestly, your entire interaction here has seemed like nothing more than "Boo-hoo poor me, I'm the victim here"

Your price was almost 15% higher than RETAIL on a PRE-OWNED gun, I don't know how much more obvious it needs to be made that that is beyond ridiculous...

Would you rather buy this damaged and used car for £1000;

or this brand new (with warranty) one for £800?

If you're new to the selling business, then its an honest mistake to have made and the best course is to take the advice being provided and adjust the price.

You are of course free to ask for whatever you want, and its entirely possible someone will buy it. But you're limiting your pool of buyers by overcharging and doubling down by arguing here.

It can be rough finding out just how badly your toys have depreciated, or worse that you overpaid to begin with. But thats not an excuse to pass it on to the next guy and this thread exists to arm the community with the knowledge of how to avoid it.

Well if you're that new to selling guns (which I believe about as much as a politician's election promises) then maybe you should do a little research first and listen to those who clearly know more than you. Instead you decided to double down on being a know it all dickhead which is all your fault.

I guess basic spelling and grammar are also new things to you

This is a thread to highlight issues with adds, not to add personal insults... I'm a 'fairly' educated 58yr old bloke who uses google to help with many spelling concerns I have. Street slang & text speak baffle me but the younger generation are the product of a different education and cultural system to when I was a youngster.
Lets please keep things civil?

thanks, but its too late for that already made an arse of myself

I guess I'm really lucky that I did a bit of buying and selling Warhammer years ago, those depreciate like crazy. Counterintuitively the more you do to those, the lower their value becomes.

Lotta people tried to get into selling pre-painted armies and found that they didn't even make back the cost of minis, nevermind the paint and labour. Same with most pre-build Airsoft guns. Never go for the sum of their parts.
