Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

Presumably seen the posts in here given the edit - No mate, we will mock you mercilessly for that level of pisstake.

Edit: worst case (and glossing over the fact that most recent GHK AK's barely work) for prices on everything in that, someone could replicate it brand new for slightly over £1600 - its not special in any way, nor is it rare, so why is his asking 70% of new.
In case he does see this... all of your adverts are equally pisstakes as per your edit.

Unless I’m missing something?
I can buy one complete from Octagon for cheaper, or buy the used one on here, then order the stock from Octagon and save about £100 and end up with a new Spas-12

But would that saving get swallowed up by taxes & import issues?

For what it's worth, mine cost £245 from the classifieds, I don't know the make but it was worth the cost for the unicorn poo rarity (as in they don't pop up very often). Mine is a wall hanger so consider the TM name & quality the extra £100.

If it was the genuine legit TM stock then I’d understand

Ive ordered plenty from HK retailers, and have yet to get stung by taxes….

shipping on the other hand , they pee up your leg!

Looks like the twat with the ghilly suit is getting upset about being called out??

When you can't give substance to a bogus claim, retaliate with insults. That strategy always works and inspires confidence to buy something from you at an rip-off markup!

I welcome being proven wrong but it's awfully convenient he's now come up with a story that he doesn't think he'll be challenged on about his "friend". Classic strategy to prey on people's sympathies and distract them away from challenging the claim because it would be poor etiquette.

Just because he’s built it up, he’s got an emotional attachment to it

emotional value and market value are two totally different things, he needs to learn the difference

We don't know if anything he said was true anyway, he'd been here 5 minutes & had the wrong attitude if he genuinely wanted to sell the kit, the ghillied up so called dmr for example, after all you wouldn't buy a car if you'd only ever seen it covered by a tarpaulin, why should a rifle be any different.

Speaks volumes that he ignored all the well meant, if slightly sarcastic?, advice he was given.

I'm still not entirely convinced he wasn't an amateur scammer.

I wish that were true, but i have mates that seem to love buying absolute shitters found in such a condition.

(I may've done it too.)

I got a bite folks.....check the AK ad...
Sorry mate, I've hidden them, technically negative comments in sales threads are against the rules, I've previously had a warning for it myself, this thread is the place to call out daft prices or crap kit, by all means tag the sellers to come & partake in the discussions, & we can politely rip the shit out of them ?

I assume he was a rookie scammer because of his response to being called out for being unrealistic with his pricing and giving limited product info then deflecting to avoid being held to account for the guns he was listing.

If he was legitimate, you'd think he'd have some humility to listen to those more knowledgeable than him as he openly said he doesn't know much about airsoft.

Booo!!!! Guy was talking outta his ass anyway.  Now, there is a lovely GHK RPK up for sale at £945 which is much more worthy than what this idiot is asking

Don't think it was negative to point out where he was wrong

There were a few things that rang bells, the only thing that was true about him was that he was in Stoke.

Mate I agree, but unfortunately some sellers have figured out that they can also use the report button when rules are broken, such as non constructive comments in sales threads.

While some might argue that openly outing overpriced kit at source & therefore saving anyone getting ripped off is constructive, we're all free to ask what we want for kit, getting it's another matter.

On the plus side, I think this is the only forum I've ever been on in 23+ years that allows any discussion on sellers prices.

Oops. Forgot about that, Sorry.

The response I got back was highly amusing either way.
