Ran our first game at the Trenches we've been building for the last year the other weekend! The theme was Gallipoli - our fictionalised battle of 'Hellespont', so I was running shorts and Pith Helmet with my WW1 kit... (Yes I regretted the shorts)

One of the best moment was being held hostage by an enemy officer... I'd been ordered to guard him, as we had taken him prisoner in a raid. However, during an attack I was too busy killing two of the attackers to see him draw his pistol, no one had disarmed him! He almost made it out of our trenches before anyone noticed, but someone managed to shoot him in the shoulder past me, giving me the chance to grab his pistol!

I then proceded to kill a further two attackers with it!

Theres 3x rifle mag holsters on the belt as i get hot playing so often run with out a chest plate or rig. Hoping the mk5 fake will keep temps down 

Looking to get a small dangler pouch as tummy shots sting!

I run a similar setup, with a few changes happening after playing with it a few times, including long events/sims/over night. I got rid if weapon hook retention part and swapped for a 2 point sling that can snugged up for two free hands or swung round to the back and cinched tight, vtac sling the padded version. I also added a danger, too useful not to.

i am going to out myself as being on the left of that pic...fwiw your idea of "reasonable" may shift if you get the nods bug. We try to get to a 24h game once a month which is around 8hrs driving total and £200 or so for fees n fuel with night games here and there especially in autumn-winter.  Maybe not for everyone, but it's very much for us! Also without checking their website i am pretty sure warzone do/did evening games on saturdays too.

Whether or not nods are worth it to you is another matter entirely and is not something that anybody can really advise on. For me it was just a gut feeling.

I'm starting to look into buying a decent one but the more I read, the more confused I am.

You’re right they do, last one I went too was a while back and it was a themed night, totally forgot about it being an option.

They are deffo on the cards, that’s for sure.

Totally - every tube is unique, and there are far too many myths, misunderstandings and contradictions flying around. It has taken me a solid year of being outside every evening for at least 1 hour each time to understand how each specification affects the other; how the variables mix together.  I think I'll start a thread somewhere here, stay tuned!

Great day at Rifts inaugural battlesim at The Ridge yesterday. 
 

Started off with my set of webbing, didn’t get on with it when trying to change magazines quickly or access things from the rear pouches. 
Changed over to the Arktis chest rig, decided not to run my belt as there wasn’t really any requirement for a sidearm or extra magazines.

My boots are dried and awaiting cleaning.. trousers went straight in the wash and are clean now!!
