Hello,

I use a vorsk eu18.

I was thinking about getting a upgrade for it by installing these.

https://www.firesupport.uk/laylaxnineball-gas-router-for-tokyo-marui-glk-g17g18c-magazine-2pcs.html

I have heard they can add up to 50 fps onto your velocity.

My only worry is.

With the added pressure and how powerful the gas routers will make the green gasses journey, will this add more strain onto my pistol and risk breaking it ?

As it is only stock and I have already been through 1 hammer shearing off from normal use.

Thanks

Vorsk don't have a great reputation so personally I wouldn't spend any money upgrading. Probably better buying a glock or another secondary from the classifieds here. I've bought most of my collection from the classifieds & the only items I wouldn't/couldn't use ingame were those I bought knowing about the issues.

@ButcherBill

I understand that vorsk isn't a great brand.

But regarding my original question.

Would the upgrade and additional stress?

Thanks

You would deffo need someone who knows more than me I'm afraid.

Not sure on the Glock but I've used the 9ball routers for other pistols. It will only add 10fps approx. Can't say what it would do for a vorsk Glock.

It all depends on the current setup

if the pistol is great with gas efficiency like Tm and some WE models..

adding an updated router will need some supporting mods like re-enforced nozzle and return springs piston seal/cup.

if the gas system struggles from factory with efficiency due to a poorly designed nozzle and Mag seal, then it will act like you run it on propane.

my advice is to actually shim your current mas seals and test how it improves it.

@heroshark @Diablo675!

Hello,

Thanks for the info.

Regarding it only adding 10 FPS it sounds like it's not worth the trouble.

I'll leave it as is.

Thanks

What's supposed to be different to the standard ones? A larger channel or a better seal?

@Anonymoose

Apparently the laylax gas router concentrates the flow of gas more increasing fps. Thats all I know really.

You won’t get 50fps increase. As @herosharksaid, you’ll typically get 10fps.

depending on the shape of the nozzle, you can get negative efficiency effects as the nineball router is curved and maybe TM clones (like WE) use a flat router, creating an airseal problem.

personally, if you’re experiencing things like hammer failures as stock, I’d avoid fitting the gas routers and look at upgrading the weak points of the pistol such as the hammer set.

Any upgrade which ups the muzzle energy is going to add more stress to parts, whether it's enough to cause a failure is the question.

If stock parts have broken under normal use then I wouldn't be surprised if one upgrade then makes another necessary till you've basically replaced everything. By that point you might as well have just bought something better

They sit a little higher and ridge's down the edge to help the seal against the nozzle. Also a less angled smoother inner channel. But with the Glock route it's fairly shallow in depth compared to the other routes so I can't imagine the inner channel could effect it much.
