Got a brand new KSC MP9 and am having the standard feeding issue of every other BB. What is the definitive solution as I have seen several and am not sure what the hell to do? Nozzle seems to want to stick in the hop unit and not move backwards.  Its not the return springs as you can see them doing their job when it returns to the carrier. Any thoughts?  It is very dry so going to try some lube when I can get to the store to buy some

@Ronin0033 is very knowledgable about MP9s. Bought mine from him and it's ran like a trooper.

Hey! The nozzle “sticking” won’t be the feed issue, that is just showing it’s got a good seal with the hop rubber. The bolt movement will ensure the nozzle comes free so don’t worry about that.

For only feeding every other shot I’d check the mag feed lips first. I’ve found with certain mags and certain BB brands the BB can get caught on the part where the mag lip meets the mag.

Remove the mag lip (2 pins) and gently file down the around the yellow highlighted parts to make sure its not sharp & has no burrs. Also do any sharp parts around the top of the lip while you are there, MP9’s can chew BB’s a little when loading due to the metal lips.

If it’s still misfeeding after that I’d try a different brand of BB’s just to make sure. I found Excels tended to be slightly too small for the mag tract and would jam themselves up….

Thanks!  I will sit on modding mags lips just till the weekend.  A friend has the Vorsk and going to try his mags.  I suspect you are correct though.  I also think that cos of the cold there isnt enough power coming back to move the nozzle

@Ronin0033Well we got it working after lots of experimentation with mags and BBs, just needed lube and it not to be so fucking cold.  Ironically I now have the opposite problem its feeding but not firing, ie a BB gets stuck in the hop unit.  It fires intermittently.  Must be the cold factor, I am going to shove a sign on it saying leave alone till Summer ....

Have you tried lighter bb's?

Everything from .25s upto .3s.  It was firing fine yesterday at LAC on .28s, just on black gas.  I have none to hand so its probably simply not getting enough juice.

KWA’s hop up is somewhat finicky, can’t say I’ve had BB’s getting stuck in the hop though.
If you are keeping it long term I’d recommend the TNT Hop & barrel kit, it’s a game changer for the MP9, will easily hop .4 and more, plus easier adjustment.

yeh I am keeping it even though its unreliable currently.  I had seen the hop units but going to wait a little before I get one as they are pricey
