Krytac KT40

Interesting product. Like you alluded to, I hope it's not abused and ends up on a ban list within a month of launch.

Pricing is the issue. £90 per grenade and £180 for the launcher itself... which doesn't appear to come with any grenades included.

That's pretty steep not gonna lie. Can't see many people jumping on that.

Pricey, but well thought out features in the launcher, don't think I'd "shell" out (😉) 90 quid on a grenade though ?
I'm mixed, like it, but finished with GL's 2 decades ago, dunno if I could be arsed with them again🤔

They should be more open about stuff they sell and whether they allow it. I bought an aa12 when they first had them, rocked up to their site to be told "they're banned"
What good is a 500 quid shotgun if it's not allowed in cqb

I find this crazy. Why would they sell items that their local players can’t use? Or at least warn you somehow before buying.

40 mike was banned collectively because it spat BBs out in a straight line with a fire rate and FPS that could split a boulder, This looks alot less powerful as you can see on the video that those BBs are dropping quite quickly. That being said, can't imagine its particularly enjoyable experience to have one of these unloaded on you at a rulers distance.

Playing devil's advocate, is it not the player's responsibility to check if a weapon can be used at any site they intend to play at, especially when it is somewhat left field? The nanny state is something people can do with less of today.

If the buyer is new to airsoft and they say that to staff at the shop, fair enough, they should gently advise where it can and can't be used. If a customer gives some impression of being experienced, you'd think a retailer would prefer not to insult their intelligence or to pry on where they're using it unless the customer mentions using in somewhere that site rules wouldn't allow.

I know one shop that sells full-auto only miniguns & LMGs along with sniper rifles. Is it insensible that it sells them when a CQB site very local to it doesn't allow such weapons? Not every customer is local, nor do all local customers play locally.

I think a good test as to whether they're going to start copping bans would be to ask if patrolbase will stage videos to make out a product is more dangerous than it really is
Fixed that for you.

The problem with the 40 milke was mainly down to how it was advertised. CQB isn't the right environment for them whereas outdoor with some distance between shooter and target they gave a nice spread. Unfortunately too many people got caught up in the hysteria and jumped on the bandwagon without looking at them objectively. It wasn't helped by shops like patrol base making bullshit claims, for example their video claiming they're so powerful they'll break eye pro was done with glasses which weren't airsoft safe
