Is this suitable gear for a noob?

Ok so its 4 week till I can get to my first skirmish and i'm getting stuff together but, before i dive in, I wanted to ask some advice on my ideas for kit.

I'm thinking gloves, eyeprotection and boots as essentials. I dont want to buy cheap but also I dont want to waste money as i've got about £100 to spend so, are these any good?

Ok, those goggles aren't real ESS, they'll be made in China with zero quality control. With a £100 budget you can get yourself set up nicely, but you'll want to make sure your eye protection is up to the job.

The gloves are decent, but If you get fast fit versions instead they're a few quid cheaper.

Boots you've listed are no-name, might last you a week, might last 10 years. Who knows? I'd go for some surplus pro boots or get to an outdoors store and buy some decent walking boots.

£7 for a shemagh is daylight robbery, get on ebay and buy one for less than half the price.

Pro airsoft supplies and patrol base (and probably loads of other stores) have genuine Bolle goggles in for about a tenner or thereabouts. Anti fog, too. Bit lighter and you know the quality control is sorted.

As others have said get some decent eye protection better safe than sorry, I use some cheap hard knuckle gloves I found on amazon which have held up well so far an I don't care if they get wrecked. Boots wise I'm currently using some hi-tec walking boots I had before I started cost about £40 from amazon, and for a shemagh try here http://m.aliexpress.com/item/1963487271.html dirt cheap decent quality but will take a couple of weeks to get to you.

yeah they're fine, check the fit of them against your face before you play though, don't want any big gaps where BBs can get in, a few millimetres is fine but if there's anywhere that a straight line can be drawn from eyeball to the outside world bad things can happen!

If there is an army and navy surplus shop near to you (and even if there isn't it would be worth traveling a bit to get to one), then that will absolutely be your best bet for boots, or possibly a militaria fair. Give them a bell before you set off of course, but most army surplus stores sell used (but still decent condition) combat boots for about 20-30 quid. Genuine issue military combat boots are quite literally designed for skirmishing. Not only that, military surplus gear is invariably far better quality for the price than anything else you might find.

Perhaps more importantly, if you go to a shop, you can actually try the things on, whereas if you buy online, you're rolling the dice on how good a fit they will be, and the chances are, they won't be. A decent pair of genuine military combat boots will last for years of skirmishing and will prevent you busting an ankle etc.

all goggles will fog up at some point, and suggest the Dye i3 goggles.

A good seal + Thermal lenses = no fogging up

If you understand the risks. A good pair of blastic glasses will be good also.

If you have to keep treating them, they are unfit for purpose

I 2nd military surplus shops for camo gear. Believe that DPM camo is the consensus for all round camo In UK.

Airsoft is like camping, you buy too much, and then downsize your gear. Don't buy too much stuff.

Your going to save your money shopping around for military surplus, as there is so much of it about.

Same as mine. Yes they are very good boots, but be sure to order the right size if you go for it, and if you are unsure of a size (i.e. not sure if you want a 9 or a 10), then err on the larger side because you could always wear thick socks, but if they're too small, you're screwed lol. Although if you take a trip to a local surplus store, you might find something cheaper and will at least be able to try em on, so if that means waiting til weekend, then I'd advise waiting.
