Is my new C02 GBB pistol broken?

I've received a new C02 GBB pistol having just moved on from electric guns. It is normal for a 12g C02 capsule to run out after 50 shots?!!! I use pellgunoil to lube the seal and add a drop on the capsule before inserting it. Can anyone help me?

Pistol is a well g194 1911 variant

12g Co2 won't go that far, especially if your pistol fps is on the hot side. My mags take 17 bb's and I get about 4-5 full mags from one Co2 capsule. My pistol fps is 290-300 on average.

Yeah, and the recoil is lovely and snappy, well, the first shot is lovely and snappy.
