I get the impression the bellend would've caused trouble wherever he went.

What annoys me is that he tried to make excuses by blaming mental health issues along with claims he's trying to change. Fuck right off with that bullshit, I know several people with mental health problems (including myself) and guess what, none of them have a criminal record packed with violent crimes. As for trying to change, he's obviously not trying hard enough, or more likely only when his probation officer is around.

I'm starting to think the film Demolition Man had the right idea. You shouldn't be allowed to reproduce without a licence

Blame lies with both of them, but mostly with Lambert, who is responsible for his own actions and behaviour; he seems to be the type of person who brings nothing positive to society and plenty that is negative. However, as you say, the cousin should have been keeping an eye on him the whole time.

You have focused upon one suspended sentence, but not noted the 5 year custodial further down.

Like all offenders, he has had sentences as per the relevant legislation for each offence.
Equally those convicted for “hurty words” have been sentenced accordingly, especially when they plead guilty in court

Odd decisions are one of the issues with jury trials; what he did was at least incitement and he should have been convicted. However, from another perspective, I don't have any problem with people cutting the throats of actual Nazis.

The problem is that the term Nazi is used so often these days for anyone people don't agree with...
Then it's perfectly fine to be violent towards someone with a different political view to you. It's a slippery slope mate.

Especially by the lefties who forget he was a socialist leftie. The clue is in the name National Socialists. NaSis.. But they'll tell you his type of socialism is the wrong time. Unlike theirs. The same ones who tell you communism is great. But it just hasn't been done properly, forgetting the millions who died under communism.
