Hey everyone,

I’m a hiker and developer (not an airsoft player), but while building a GPS tracking tool for my hiking needs, I realized it solves a big problem in airsoft: losing track of your teammates, marking areas, routes, and meeting points.

I built Flaresat. It’s a live map for your squad.

What it does:

  • Live Tracking: Shows your team's location in real-time on a shared map.
  • Tactical Tools: Ability to draw Routes, Areas, and drop Pins.
  • Detail: When adding pins/routes/areas, you can give them a description, custom color, and specific icons.
  • Comms: Small built-in Chat for communication.
  • Group Management:
    • Create or Join groups easily.
    • The Team Leader creates a group and shares the Invite Code.
    • You can also make the group Public so anyone with the link can be an observer/viewer (great for game admins or spectators).
  • Privacy/Stealth: Your location always shows to you on the app, but you have the ability to share it with your team (or hide it) from the settings.
I need your help: Since I don't play, I need to know: Is this UI simple enough to use in a game? Is it a useful tool that can be used in the hobby?

It is currently in Beta, so please excuse any bugs! Actually, please tell me about them so I can fix them.

Try it here: FlareSat.com
