How do you post a status update?

As it says. How? I click on the 'whats on your mind' or w/e it says bit on the main page and it just redirects me to my profile

Or should change to a text box, not unlike posting in a thread.

It's worth pointing out that sometimes the "what's on your mind" box doesn't appear for me too.

It appears, it's just when I click it I get taken to my profile, where I can't seem to find anywhere to post a status update

That is why I do not have a mobile phone, too much spam.

Same thing with me....I'm using Chrome, just tried 'Edge' as well..click on 'Status Update' and it just take me to my profile.

Basically for a couple of months status updates were disabled by default for new profiles. I'm not sure why. Accounts from before February and ones made after later April all have it enabled by default.

I had the same issue with the same fix, although for some reason i still have a 50/50 chance of getting the box now.
