It would look nice with the Xm style stock ? I’ve already had a look at about 1,000 different ideas but think it’s going to stay relatively classic. Well… Until the angry gun KS-1 kit comes out ?

 
My first AR platform is my take on a KS-1, using an EMG/Ares SR-16E Mod 2.

Yes, the optics are wrong, but I don't have the £6K needed for an actual Vortex AMG and there's no replicas out there yet. The colours are also off, but give it a few years and all the issued KS-1s will all look like this ?. All told, I'm happy with it, despite the dramas I had getting the base RIF. I hope it performs well enough.

I like those movie accurate suppressors, more aesthetically pleasing that the Allen engineering one they actually used at the time…

Maybe it’s just imprinted in my brain from watching it a gazillion times over the years.

I love the movie gun the biggest pain has been trying to find the aimpoint mount ... just gave up and got a clone of a rs unit.. 

The 723 has a silly long king arms ops suppressor my biggest issue is its a gov marked lower.. plan was to build both film version and rs.. all on a tight budget ?

 
found a Donor (CYMA) for my KS-1 build. Now the hard part begins, so much to do.

if anyone is interested the plan is:

remove the QD points from the rear of the lower receiver.

chop out the right side bolt release and replace with a 3D modelled correct version.

either find or make the correct fire selectors

engrave both side of the lower

modify the charging handle to be ambi

print a outer barrel sleeve to replicate the dimples on the real thing

Cerakote everything

fit aftermarket parts (rail, grip etc) - still need to find knock off Mbus Pro sights and the stock pipe QD point

I've got a ACRO P2 but need to find the reptilla scope mount and find a suitable short dot that's close to the Vertex 1-10 (not spending £2000 on a scope!)

This may take a while.

 
I've never been a big fan of CYMA. Always found them a bit meh. I picked this up recently and it's actually a bit good. It's a CYMA Noveske Infidel for those that are interested. Comes with a eshooter mosfet as standard. I even like the midcap as it holds 190.

Only thing done to it was swap out the stock for a Magpul slim profile one and replace the hop rubber with the 4Uantum friction Pro as I'm finding them very good.

CYMA platinum M4s have always kicked ass, no idea they were doing Noveske stuff. Cool pew!
