Bit of gun porn right there. Far too clean to be skirmished though :P

Liking the carbon wrap.

Thanks :)

Only owned them for a month, except the Eagle. I've owned that one for about 13 years now, bought it in Japan, and smuggled it home (never had a more nervous flight home LOL ), but never been skirmished, just some back garden shooting.

I still have the small catalogue that came with it in the box, with the lineup from that time.

A lot of guns that are still being made today.

And the funniest thing is: there's a spelling error on my gun: on the left side it says "Dezart Eagle" instead of the current "Desert Eagle" spelling

Yeah, that's the original non-hardkick version. Not seen around too much, I've only seen it in a review or two.

It looks pristine :)

Hi all

Here's start of a little project I got going at the mo not quite finished the painting side of it yet, it started off life as an SRC DRAGON LIGHTING series ie all plastic! outter barrel, front sight, plus it was lime green but hey for £60 delivered was a bargin. So i have changed outter barrel for a metal one, also front sight, added a different rear sight, none of which cost me a penny as I had them in spares box. the launcher on the front is a dummy again had this lying around which is used for the battery as it is front wired, I removed all inerds of it make room for a 9.6v battery, like I said not finished yet three more paint colours to go on black, green and brown. Also got to put on front sling hook.

Really don't like those foregrips, but otherwise it looks pretty epic. The EOTech looks much better than I expected sat that high.

Actually I'm having 2nd thoughts about the foregrip. I like the way it looks, bit it's not very comfortable to hold: too thin end on. The 551 is great way up there - I don't have to bend my neck down even a little bit to look through it. We shall see how difficult it is to zero...

Ugh, yeah that foregrip is ugly! Looks uncomfortable too, I'd recommend one of those Gucci folding ones, can't remember the name but I'm sure you know what I mean.

That eotech definitely looks the business up there though. I would probably have gone for something really small and low profile like an aimpoint T1 or maybe even a teeny tiny pistol sized red dot as a backup to the magnified one built into the handle but having seen it I think the eotech was definitely the right choice.

Like the one I took off for this one lol! I'm thinking maybe an ergonomic pistol grip. I saw a thingy a while ago that, I think, lets you fit pistol grips to rails. Still, I'm buggered if I can remember where I saw it and I seem to have a vague flashing red "yer fcukin jokin" memory attached to cost consideration, so maybe not...

There's a pretty nice looking vertical aluminium tube type that holds an 18650 battery inside it on fleabay, so maybe I'll go for that - £25-ish IIRC so not ridiculous. At least it ought to be more comfortable to hold than this current bastard.

The tango down style ones are really comfy too, though they're not the best lookers.

Magpul RVG's are surprisingly comfortable, I would look into it even if you're not a magpul guy.

Can't say I find that all that appealing. I don't think guns look too great when they're 100% covered, there needs to be some stuff left alone, stock, grip, hand guard, mag. Perhaps only paint those bits and keep the rest blank, or vice versa.

I get that they probably asked for it to be fully covered, but yeah, just looks wrong imo. Especially on a non-tacticool AK.

@Juni0r: I think it looks good, but it would be better with some 'spatter' - rather than just the fine mist at the edges of the spray, some 1-2mm blobs of 'cross-contamination'.

The RVG looks like a plastic version of what I have on there now:

A bit short also. I have large hands.

This is the one I'm thinking of trying:
