Thrown probably 10 - 3 hits - 5 people in 1 is my highest. Lucky throw to be honest but obviously I meant too

Thrown my BFG around about 20 times.

Some get 0 kills, some i've had 6 in one go.

At a guess around about 2:1 kills per grenade.

Probably about 15 thrown; I think about 4-5 scored kills. My best one was when I sky-ed it over the fort wall at skirmish so, with the hang-time, it went off pretty much as soon as it landed and got 3.

TBH, most of the time I throw them to make people in cover scramble, because I noticed pretty quickly that, so long as you're paying attention, the few seconds it takes to burn the fuse is usually enough time to get out of the kill zone. They're not very cost effective just as a weapon...

I never use pyro, too worried it'll go off in my hand or something.

On the few occasions when I have used them, I've always either broken the striker off the fuse because they suck - waste of £2.50.

Or accidentally thrown them into a tree branch 10 yards away from and ended up killing myself.

I think the fact that there's a burning fuse kinda makes me rush myself and panic about getting the throw right, which means that I f*ck it up every single time. I reckon if I had a BFG, or something without a HURRYUPANDTHROWITBEFOREYOUBLOWYOURHANDOFF-fuse, I'd probably make pretty good use of it.

No, you can always hear the ignition grenades from a mile off. Running away is always an option.

Only way to get better effectiveness is to cook em... and being cheap pyros you dont really want to be doing that.

Used to be a beast with paint grenades probly got a kill every other throw as used them that often I worked out how long u cod cook them for depending on the distance and when they go off mid air they look epic

12 grenades thrown, 7 enemy kills, 22 team kills, since 2011.

i'm no longer allowed to use grenades in anything but FIBUA arena's.

Seeing as how my throw is such that it'd make a 2 year old look skilled, I've learnt not to use pyro, apart from smoke grenades (which I tend to drop at my feet and try to do the escape trick wizards do...)

After my first ever skirmish, in which I saw a guy pretty much nuke his own hand with a pyro that got caught in his webbing, I'm pretty hesitant about using them.

But - the kill tally.

Pyro thrown - 9.

Kills - 3. One of them was me (hit a tree in front of me, bounced back and landed in my own foxhole).

Smokes thrown - 15

Kills - 2. Completely unintentional. One landed in a sniper's lap (boy did he notice that), the other whacked someone right in the chest :lol: .

Atleast some newbies don't understand that used MK5 sticks usually have a fizzing sound when they're live. Throwing used grenades in and offering surrender. Still can't believe it worked myself :lol:

i kinda screwed up big when i dropped a grenade in a friendly reloading room, killed about 18 of my own team lol.

No idea tbh there are a lot of time outside people won't take a grenade kill (mostly hire people but thats a bit of a generalisation)

Kills 20? (when i first started playing with Pyro i was charging Up way too soon so like 5 are me atleast)

I threw a classic on Sat 30th:

I let it cook 4secs in my hand then chucked it in through a doorway of the fort @Skirmish - no kills but it made 3 enemy, who had been holding that entrance brilliantly against all comers, scramble like mad and bunch up so I got all 3 with full auto in my 1 man follow up charge. It was a 50/50 though, we all died together... Still, it proved decisive in that the cannon fodder could then stream in lol!
