In my opinion, the best ghillie suits are going to be hand-made from local foliage, as it will blend in seamlessly, if you choose the right area.
I would have thought that an enemy would deduce or suspect you based on the visual first, then sound and then smell. So you should look like a pile of leaves, sound like leaves rustling and smell like a leaf. Some netting with foliage sown into it would work better than a suit, IMHO as it is variable, and probably hides the human better.
IMHO camouflage is only as effective as the movement you make in it.
