Anyone else a bit of a sucker for an iconic film gun?

And what's your favourite, or must have?

My choice would be Deckard's (according to the book "Do androids dream of electric sheep?) .38 magnum in bladerunner.

I like it especially because of all the variations as people tried to figure out what it actually was, and the fact it's futuristic but still a firearm and not a laser.

I’m not a fan of gun films at all, but I have to say, Deckards blaster is awesome

I've been trying to sort one out for 6 years plus.

Never found a full size HWS one for sale (the almost perfect looking one, with a delicate tanaka gas system and a massive price tag)

Only the snub nose version and they're still nearly 800 quid before taxes and shipping.

Made myself one using resin parts and a tm m19 revolver but I accidentally filled the gun with the wrong gas. Thought I'd have my tea then vent it out. Halfway through eating with it on the table it just went "puffft" and that was that fucked.

Doing another one now using a h8r and a DWL 3d printed kit.

I personally would have to go with the 1911 from the original terminator. Just a silver 1911 with a stupidly big laser. Perfection. I would probably knock one up if @KingZi hadn't already helped to lighten my wallet ? maybe a future project ?

A mate is selling a new in box Western arms AMT hardballer. It's exactly what you'd need to make one of these.

To be honest I love the iconic armouries displayed in various action films such as Lethal Weapon, Die Hard and Commando (just as a few easy examples). One of my favourite sidearms though is probably the Custom Colt Mk IV Series 80 used by Keanu in Street Kings and it's something I'd love to put together but it's a bit beyond my level of skill insofar as customisation goes.

I also like Tom Selleck's sidearm from the Jesse Stone series which is a Smith & Wesson SW1911SC (Gunsite).

As far as sci-fi entries goes I think Korben's gun from The Fifth Element is fantastic and I'm a sucker for Deckard's gun in Blade Runner. I'm sure there are others but unfortunately the cogs aren't turning today.

I tend to prefer real firearms but the popularity of race guns as a result of the John Wick films aren't really my thing. I suspect part of my big love for the 1911 is that (while it may not be represented in airsoft particularly well) it's a very open to customisation.

Long, wildly uncontrolled bursts.

Deckard's pistol and the Colonial Marines Pulse Rifle (and M56 Smart Gun: "I only need to know one thing - where they are ..."), as already mentioned above, are by far the most iconic for me.

I remember as a kid also really digging Stallone's micro-SMG in Cobra. Seemed cool at the time. Shit film though.

Pulse Rifle.

Robocop Beretta.

Blaine's Ol' Painless.

All legit.

Blimey...how much?!

£250. It cost him a fair bit more than that originally from ehobby or rainbow6.

I know the gun is unused, in a wrapper in the box but the magazine has been used as he's got another, that he made into a working terminator 45 Longside with laser sighting.

Bonus sweet 1911 too.
