Just picked up a Polymer80 built by Double Eagle, got it for 30% off so was a cracking deal but I've noticed that there is a significant slam firing and gas venting issue if the slide goes forward.

I've already contacted the retailer to see if they want to have a look but if anyone has a good fix that I could do I would appreciate it.

Small update, I've shot about 100-200 rounds through the gun and it seems to have gone away, possibly a tight tolerance that needed to be shot out - but I am in contact with the retailer and we're monitoring it

It's a Double Eagle so it's unlikely to be a tight tolerance.

Hopefully it'll keep working, and this isn't just the retailer hoping it lasts the statutory 28 days before it completely shits itself.

You'd be surprised the slide was pretty tight to the frame and I think that added to the reliability issues i was having

The issue you were having sounds more like a failure of the trigger reset which a tighter fit rarely causes
I suspect the trigger reset problem might have been down to short stroking from the slide - from the stoppages I had it did seem like the slide had got caught on the barrel - so best case scenario it was just some tolerances that will sort themselves out with some more shooting. With the sheer amount of shooting I do that isn't too much of an issue for me

Worst case scenario is it continues to happen and I have to use the 28 day warranty
