Double Eagle Polymer80 - Slam fire out of the box

Just picked up a Polymer80 built by Double Eagle, got it for 30% off so was a cracking deal but I've noticed that there is a significant slam firing and gas venting issue if the slide goes forward.

I've already contacted the retailer to see if they want to have a look but if anyone has a good fix that I could do I would appreciate it.

Yeh that's probably the route I'll go, it just sucks to deal with

My guess is a valve knocker issue which is something I noticed when I was looking up the replica

It might simply be a weak buffer spring, you can buy buffer washers/grommet thingies that will compress the spring and help stop bounce.

It's a pistol so I'm not sure this would help in this case haha, from what I've read online it seems like a problem with the valve knocker and spring - I'll see what the retail has to say on it

It was brand new in the box so maybe I just got a lemon but it does suck
