Just wondering if people put a bit of grease/oil on the inside of the cylinder and O-ring to aid in lubrication ??

What grease/oil do people use ??

I have a feeling that the cylinders in my rifles are bit dry

I have used high melting piont grease . But take most off with a cloth dont use wd40 etc not good for rings aparantly.

I was thinking of using silicone oil as thats what I use to clean the barrels

I dont let wd40 near any part of the rifles lol

Thanks for your replys guys

I'll crack on with it soon as I get home dropping my daughter back home

Waiting for posty to drop off .030 gearbox & motor. Before i can crack on . Prodject 3phase on hold for a bit .

I don't know if T-Tech Gun Sav would be any good in an AEG but I use that stuff in my SMP and it's excellect stuff.

That's the same stuff I use on the prop shafts in my fast electric boats ian :)

Really do appreciate your replys guys, I think it goes towards the drop in FPS

Yeah, a good greasing goes a long way to improving air seal which boosts FPS and makes it more consistent. Another place to grease is the base of the cylinder head spout so that it makes a good seal against the air nozzle internal o-ring (if it has one - if not sack it and get one that does). But only the base because you don't want it to get forward enough to be blasted off the inside of the nozzle down the barrel.

Cheers ian, I will be upgrading both M4's as I go along but for now I'll do a bit greasing and swap to a tbb aswell
