Confusing hop up

Ok,  I have a quick question about putting a new bucking in to a G&G CM16 R8-L. I would like to put a Prometheus purple bucking in to my gun but have had no success in finding out if I would have to replace the ‘nub’ as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would help a guy learn a bit more about the masive amounts of hop up on sale

It's recommended to use the nub that comes with the rubber.

You'll get a nice nub with the purple rubber. It's worked brilliantly in mine since installing it.

Thanks man I got way to confused over flat hops, round hops, R hops and the likes?

Try the rubber standard with the standard nub first.

You'll notice an improvement right away.

I tried flat hop on mine and I didn't like it.

I'd probably try an R-hop in the future, but happy with standard purple for now.
