Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could help me out with the dimensions of the battery compartment of a CM16 Raider, extensive Googleing hasn't yielded much usable info. I'm just about to do my first order and trying to marry up my RIF order from Patrol Base with a battery order from Hobbyking.

Looking at these batteries in particular.

Cheers!

Does the raider have the G&G mosfet fitted? As that will reduce space in the stock tube. Will also affect which batteries you need.

You're basically looking for something that will fit in the stock tube for a rear wired gun like the Raider. I use one of these in my M4 stock tube: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano-tech-2000mah-2s-15-25c-lipo-airsoft-pack.html

It's a snug fit but it's the same capacity as yours, I also have 1400mAh sticks that will fit fine but you'll be best off with two so you can swap at lunch time.

Ah okay, I guess Patrol base put me off by saying it would require a crane battery rather than a single piece battery like the first one you linked, but definitely happy to be told either works.

I haven't ordered the 2.0 version so doesn't have a mosfet (as far as I know).

Cheers both

I have the normal 2.0, it's only the 2.0E that has the mosfet just so you know :)   Can't remember the name of the battery but I think it's an AP Racing crane battery I use but its 8.4V Nihm, not lipo for the simple fact I already have a few Nihm chargers and was being tight lol. If you don't plan to change the stock then you can get away with either a stick or crane battery.
