Can't Find the Place for a Spring Challenger Xp17

I got just today a Challenger XP17, tried to use it and I thought a bb got stuck in it so I opened the barrel unscrewed the plastic cover with the piece of metal and everything popped out. I'm sure I could have been smarter about it ?

I managed to make it work but I have no idea where this spring goes, does some of you has any idea?
