Buying Airsoft guns from Europe USA?

ive heard that the ukara is not a requirment its so retailers can make sure that the buyer actually skirmishes.you can sell a rif to someone without ukara.as long as their 18 its your choice if you want to sell to them, but if they arent a skirmisher and something happens your in the sh*t

Im not saying i will just sell one to any tom dick and harry id need to know they were a site member that then gives them a membership number and a card so word of mouth can be backed up with a site specific card to prove it. also if i was to buy a gun from anyone on this site i wouldnt give out my membership number to them they can ring my local site to confirm as they know me well thus no ukara info passed hands and what do they get WORD OF MOUTH all be it from a registerd airsoft site lol

I think I might have misread matts' post, thought he said under 18s for some reason. My mistake there, apologies.

As I mentioned before, UKARA membership is only one method of VCRA defence, you can most certainly sell to people without it as long as they do have another valid defence and are over 18. That's all it comes down to end of the day.

People have gone down the route of gifting RIF's and wether that would be legal as the recipient has not actualy purchased the gun so no money passed hand and Joe blogs pays Blogs joe for some "work to his house" lol but not sure thats a solid loop hole lol

I think a perspective is needed if ya know they play airsoft then its up to individual to sell or not after all it is a toy but if u suspect dodgy intentions then stay away!

I think laws should be put on all these market stalls and corner shop selling rif's but let's be serious is your a member of an airsoft forum/forums and are willing to spend a few hundred quid on a toy gun then your serious about airsoft. End of the day if I wanted to rob a bank I'd just buy a co2 air pistol or a 20 quid 2 tone and spray it. I think the law has only made it harder for genuine people to play.

How's that? If you're a 'genuine' skirmisher, there's absolutely nothing about the VCRA that stops you renting or buying a 2-tone and temporarily camming it up for a skirmish etc. When the law came in to effect I'd already got 3 games done in a 2 to 12 month period so I got a site membership and UKARA membership immediately, zero gap in my RIF purchasing abilities. Getting 3 skirmishes done in under a year is really not difficult in the slightest for 99% of people if you genuinely are in to airsoft. It will affect one or two that're perhaps sersiously short on cash or the ability to travel, but we nearly had RIFs entirely banned altogether, so by comparison the current status-quo is actually pretty good.
