When i went to buy a black gun it said to enter the ukara number. but i didn't and it let me pass that step. how come?

You may get an email asking you for a defence or they may just cancel your order. I doubt you'll be let away with that

You need a valid defence against the VCRA.

Read the law, it'll clear things up a bit.

Just remember though the retailer is breaking the law which means if someone in charge were to prosecute them you would most likely have your gun seized. But you your self haven't broken the law, most likely they will contact you to resolve this or ask which colour you want your gun.

You will probably find they cancel your order and you loose some money for waisting there time phone them be honest get it to toned then repaint it when it arrives or buy the parts that are two tone in black and be happy

um, no, that would be just as illegal as someone selling him a gun that isn't 2 tone.

Manufacturing a RIF IS A CRIME.

Sounds highly illegal

It's only a crime if you do not have a defence against the VCRA. If you are a regular skirmisher it isn't a crime. You just need some way to prove that you do go to airsoft sites. If you pay with a bank card there will be a 'paper trail' and that is proof, although there are easier, more immediate ways, like site membership and a membership card.

you are all sounding a little tightly wound on this its only a crime if you get caught or go do something stupid with it if your taking it to skirmish sites discretely there will not be a problem its not illegal to own a rif there is no licence or governing body

So i can murder if i don't get caught?

Obviously people like you have no morals or sense of responsibility...Crime is a crime,

It's a crime. End of, you don't do it, that's how society views it, and how you should view it too.

no i have common sense its who the bloody hell is going to go round checking our guns "excuse me did you make this yourself" just not going to happen if its only used for playing airsoft there wont be a problem if its not then he will ignore the law anyway

No governing body? The UKARA and the Government, my friend.

I think you'll find it is illegal to own a RiF if the perpetrator changed it from IF to RiF status without being over 18 and having a UKARA registration.

Plus it's our hobby, if people start doing that en masse and it's found out then RiFs will come closer to being banned then they did last time.

(and if you yourself do this you aren't doing yourself any favours by showing your positive view of it)

I think you'll find you need to go and revisit the VCRA, because you're talking sh*t.

I can't believe this thread is even still going. The OP hasn't commented once since the back end of July, over 2 weeks ago.
