I've been browsing recently and I've come across helmets. I really like the style of some but I need one with a lower price. Could someone help me there?

What helmet do you mean?

Have a look on Ali-Express and AirsoftPeak (both Asian retailers, AirsoftPeak are great, I've ordered from them three times already, Ali-Express not as trustworthy as it's individual sellers)

Emerson FAST helmets go for ~£30, and they're around £60 here in the UK.

Alternatively you could always look for one second hand of course.

Have a look around eb and tb airsoft, lots of different style helmets at low prices with free shipping, I'd personally stay away from helmet world due to extorcionate prices

this happed only last sunday ... considering wearing a helmet myself now

I have 2 helmets at different ends of the spectrum

Resin Brodie helmet £8 from ebay. Think about how good this is in the rain :)

I also have a Tankers helmet converted to a WW2 Para helmet, which in total came to about 10 times that :)

You can tell it was a tankers helmet as it has a slight dent in the front from someone applying the brakes suddenly :D

These helmets can cost about a tenner.

Various old steel helmets can be found on ebay. Former Warsaw pact countries tend to be cheap (Bulgarian helmets are about a tenner). I can tell you, its very easy to tell when you get shot in the head when you wear a steel helmet :D

Unless you encounter low ceilings, hats tend to be good enough protection. A boonie will have a less obvious silhouette than a helmet and I personally love my Slouch hat :)

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/EMERSON-FAST-Helmet-BJ-TYPE-economical-version-black-free-shipping/902098755.html

Economy version comes without the adjustment wheel and a different strap system as you can see. I've also heard the shell is thinner and the padding isn't as good.

For just another quid and a bit you can get the version with a visor (but obviously you should still wear eye pro underneath it)

I've noticed these sell for £40-£50 on HelmetWorld, and an extra visor alone is another £20.

And here's the better version, shown in tan but also available in black / FG / A-TACS etc.

These ones are like £60-£70 which means ordering from a Chinese store you're saving more than £30.
