In all the research (that's pronounced risearch not re- search) I have yet to discover why bucking rubbers come in so many different angle settings. Maple Lea seem to be well regarded and prefer 50 degree nubs(?) while other makers use everything between 40 and 70, as far as I remember. Why the different settings? Then there are the soft and hard rubbers; again why?
