I might just run around an airsoft field with a stapler. See where that gets me.

 
You can get a TM recoil shock SOCOM or CQBR from echigoya-guns.com for less than £400 all in, shipping on those models is (was? might still be) free so they work out considerably cheaper than they would in the UK even with VAT added on. My SOCOM came through after customs applied VAT at £330.
